cracking and lightning

the discomfort of the gray coldness

embraced me in a familiar hug

the tree bent down to say hello

but only my ears could hear

everyone else was deaf to the kindness

they only heard the wails of the raindrops

the bad storm lit up the night

the familiar scent of home filled my nose

the cold air cracked against my skin

the lightning buzzed in my ears

the breeze tapped on my window

his smile lit up the night

luna had disappeared

she ran away from here

away with the thunder

and her silver tears hit my window

the black clouds played with my hair

they hid my pain in the gray coldness
