Colors & their Spiritual Meanings

Knowing each color’s meaning can be incredibly useful for spells or even in the mornings when you are picking out your outfit. By using a specific color intentionally you are only amplifying and intensifying your manifestations. Many spells will call for colored candles because colors represent certain things.

Red:

Red has always been seen as the color of romance. Red attracts love, but also represents rebirth. Blood is often thought of when talking about the color red, but not all blood needs to be bloodshed, the idea of rebirth and life stems from pregnancies’ and menstruation, which both involve blood. Red also represents strength, courage, warmth, and even creativity.

Orange:

Orange stimulates creativity, pleasure, optimism, and productivity. I love lighting an orange candle when I am working/writing so I can get an extra boost of creativity and focus. Orange is also an amazing color when you need an extra dash of confidence, so maybe try wearing an orange shirt, jacket, or jewelry once in a while.

Yellow:

Yellow is an amazing color for those of us who might need to tap into their inner child. Yellow brings happiness, joy, and brings back that happy outlook on life. Yellow attracts abundance and simply put, is an amazing color for those who might need a light in the dark.

Green:

You guessed it, green equals wealth, but not only materialistically. Green can bring you wealth in all aspects, it supports balance, health, development, and fertility. Green is an amazing color for those who are looking for healing.

Blue:

Blue is one of my favorite colors because of it’s amazing properties. Blue is considered the color of spirituality, intuition, and inspiration, but it also brings an nice sense of calm can help with emotional healing, and balance. Blue is another color that is great for creativity and being in touch with your mind as it promotes a peace of mind.

Purple:

Purple is my other favorite color, I am constantly lighting purple candles because this color represents power, not in a greedy way, but spiritual and earthly power. Purple can increase your psychic power and boost your intuition. Purple can open your third eye, deepen your spiritual knowledge and awareness, and represents divination.

White:

White represents purity, healing, innocence, peace, and divination. What is great about white candles is that they can be substituted for any other colored candle in any spell. As long as you set your intentions with the candle before beginning the spell or lighting it, it will work with a white candle.

Gray:

Gray represents telepathy, dreams, and control. Gray is a very neutral color that holds a peaceful and relaxing presence, which is why it is used in so many houses.

Black:

Black is not a bad color, who gave it this bad rep anyways? Black is an amazing color for protection and repelling negative energy, I have a black candle on my bedside table that I light almost every night. Next time you need a little extra protection or you are meeting “that” side of the family, try wearing black.

Pink:

Pink represents unconditional love, romance, friendship, self-love, intimacy, and forgiveness. Pink is a great color to use when you are trying to reconcile with someone because it promotes forgiveness in others and forgiveness in yourself.

Brown:

Brown is the color of the earth, it represents stability, a strong foundation, and security. Brown is also good for protecting pets and can boost your concentration, if needed.

Now that you know the colors and their meanings you can use them to manifest what you want, but like I have said a million times it is your intentions that make all the difference.
